The CMIS Connector provides an interface to work with content that exists in the a CMIS compliant content repository, such as the Alfresco content management system, as though it is native content within SilverStripe. It also provides a mechanism to import this content into native SilverStripe content objects

The CMIS Connector builds upon the External Content module APIs to provide a connection to, primarily, the Alfresco Content Management System. It lets users

• Browse Alfresco content from SilverStripe
• Link to Alfresco content from within WYSIWYG content cells
• Create ExternalContentPages that link directly to Alfresco content sources
• Import Alfresco content into SilverStripe files and folders

The Alfresco Connector utilises Alfresco's CMIS API to retrieve content from the Alfresco server. This incorporates the (yet to be completed) SeaMist PHP framework for connecting to CMIS content providers.
