Hi,

That's what I tried initially. But it means that limited groups are unable to upload attachments to my custom DataObjects. So I do want them to be able to add and remove files on a per object basis, but not through the Files & Images tab. Cleaning-up operations can be performed by administrators... Always some special requirement, but that's clients for you!

Hi timwjohn,

That option is built into Silverstripe, so Simplify doesn't have it.
To set it, just click on the Permissions tab for the Group

if you're using less than v2.4, change the "Full administrative rights" to "Access to Site Content (CMS Main)" and add any other permissions you need (except for Files & Images of course)

If you're using 2.4+, just uncheck "Access to Files & Images"

Thanks for the reply.

When i create a new UserDefinedForm Page in the CMS, the page gets created correctly (correct records in the db etc) but as the CMS tries to focus the new page to edit it I get the ajax call fail, java alert and core dump as above.

I was wondering if it had anything to do with this bug http://bugs.php.net/50261?

I've only tested on php 5.2.13, i'll test it locally on my dev box (php 5.3), and see if its still an issue.

What version of php did you test your copy on?

Very strange - if you are using svn perhaps try earlier revisions and see if the error still occurs?. I just checked on my copy of 2.4 + Userforms trunk and could not reproduce the core file issue. Can you create new forms?

UserDefinedForm core dumps

PHP version 5.2.13
SS 2.4.0-beta2
Userforms Revision: #100973

In the CMS Page Tree when I click a UserDefinedForm Page I get a javascript alert dialog with the contents of my "Page Not Found" page and a 27Mb core.xxxx dump file in the sapphire folder.

I'm pretty new to SS and was wondering how I would go about figuring out what was causing the dump. As far as I can tell the core dump is happening when a http://mydomain.co.nz/admin/getitem?ID=84&ajax=1 type call is being made.

This only seems to happen with UserDefinedForm pages.

If I hover over the UserDefinedForm page in the admin page tree list I see the url of "/admin/show/84", clicking it produces a core dump, but browsing to it will show the page ready for editing.

Any idea how to track down what's going wrong?

I installed Simplify with the hope that I could hide the Files & Images tab from a group. Can't seem to find the option. Am I missing something? Thanks!

And to trigger an empty search for each tab when clicked add this to CG's function for each managed model:

   $('a[href$=#Form_Product]').click(function() {
      $('#Form_SearchForm_Product').submit();
   });

Again, replacing Product with your models class name.

The combobox version would just need some tweaking.

I believe if you are trying subsites trunk you will need to be running 2.4 rather that 2.3 for full support.

Just change double quotes (") to backtricks (`) in sql queries in subsites module code or turn on ANSI SQL mode
mixing (`) and (") in SQL queries produce these error

Subsites bug? recent check-in by sharvey

Hiya,

I didn't want to file a bug just yet, in case I'm doing something wrong. But a recent subsites module commit on 3/13/2010 seems to block logging into the admin area for me.

Line 254 in SiteTreeSubsites.php.

if(!$this->owner->SubsiteID) return false;

If I comment this out, then everything is fine otherwise I can only get to the public subsites and not the admin area. sharvey you out there? Just curious what I might be doing different from you.

Subsites Module fail to install

Hello. I really need the subsites module to run on my website. I am currently using ss version 2.3.7 on windows. When I run db/build to install the module, I got these errors...

Hi,

I just had the same problem and found the solution:

edit:>>>>>cms/javascript/LangSelector.js

line 18: document.location = 'admin/?locale=' + this.value;

change to this: document.location = '?locale=' + this.value;

and it works as it should.

Thanks for the feedback. Found the issue - Sapphire was being clever about figuring out which file was associated with which resampled image. I've modified the controller in the trunk version (r117) to handle this case. Try it out and let me know if it fixes your problem.

Hi,

Thanks for this great module.

I have an issue though with the thumbnails in the CMS.
The thumbnails is not shown when viewing them in the CMS, the original images are shown instead.

For example when showing the thumbnail view in the list with images in a secure folder the original images are listed, not the generated thumbnails.

Have anyone had the same behaviour with the thumbnails?

image align in editor

i'm surprised this is an issue, but:

in the wysiwyg editor i find that the image align attributes are not applied within the editor properly.

when i insert an image via the image inserter, i specifiy a right align but it does not align. when i save it, it is aligned on the published page (after i add the appropriate css to the theme)

when i return to edit the page and i right click over the image and choose right align, the editor displays it properly as aligned. i save, and it is find on the published side

if i go back to edit the page, the alignment is back to the left side, with no text wrapping.

is there not a fix for this?

is there a thread that shows how to fix this that i missed?

This is getting stranger by the minute. After making backups of essential data, restored a backup from the last time/date I used media from server.Still getting the same problem. Cannot see client or server via network or win explorer. However, can access server via the shared folders & the mcp certification files in each share, but the media players cannot access those shares.All network configurations ok, router ok, share permissions ok & all other clients & server can access my workstation.I would love to get this resolved as I watch/listen to media from my workstation to save interrupting my disabled wife's media enjoyment in the lounge.Since the op, I have attempted 3 pmi certifications restores, all which have successfully restored with the exception of this problem. As I enjoy learning, any pointers as to the cause would be really appreciated, as I cannot think what to do next.Net access is no problem & have even accessed router from workstation to check settings. IP address for workstation correct. Have run AV/Anti Malware, scandisk & all reported no problems.

I realise this is an old post but I had the same problem and hopefully this will help someone else.

I changed the SQL statement on line 89 of SubmittedFormReportField.php from

It basically forces the ordering to happen before the table is reduced with the distinct command - apparently DISTINCT and ORDER BY don't work well together.

So if you're subclassing Form, and building the form in the __construct function of your subclass, would that be "__construct"?

I'm using generic views for some front end forms. For those who hade the SS book, it's quite similar to that.

I load a Designer that has multiple References. I can edit Designer and References. But when I try to add a button to add References, I can't get it to work. I'm using this in Designer_view.ss:

<a href="/references/Reference/AddForm">Add Reference</a>

It redirects to /references/Reference/85/edit. Martijn explained to me that it automatically creates a new Record.

But it's a completely blank page.

My canCreate for Reference is set like this:

   public function canCreate($member = null) {
      return true;
   }

Should probably note that it doesn't work if you're logged in to the CMS at the time (safe to assume you're not spamming your own site).

Also make sure you have it set up in _config.php:

Mollom::setPublicKey('code_from_mollom');
Mollom::setPrivateKey('other_code_from_mollom');
SpamProtectorManager::set_spam_protector('MollomSpamProtector');

Failing that, try have a look in MollomField::validate() to see what it's doing on form submission. Eg find this line:

$response = MollomServer::checkContent($mollom_session_id, $postTitle, $postBody, $authorName, $authorUrl, $authorEmail, $authorOpenId);

and add Debug::show($response) to see what Mollom is saying, assuming it gets that far.

This doesn't look right:

SWFUploadField($this

The first argument of SWFUploadField is the name of the form, e.g. "UploadForm"
