Things were working just fine...... last month, and from what I recall... even earlier this month... but for some reason after I choose a date and save it, the year no longer stays 2010, but 1969...
Any thoughts?

Could be a lot of things. Check your database and see how those dates are getting saved. 1969 is what comes back if a date is saved as null (assuming you're behind GMT... the other half of the world should get 1970.)
Ok :)
Well it shows in the database, exactly what it says on screen... an example:
ID ClassName Created LastEdited Title StartDate StartTime EndDate EndTime Content is_all_day is_announcement is_single EventID CalendarID
12 CalendarDateTime 2010-01-08 12:53:31 2010-01-08 12:53:31 NULL 1969-12-31 09:00:00 1969-12-31 17:00:00 NULL 0 0 0 114 0
Does this help?
I really have no idea. Make sure you're on the latest SVN build, and if you can, replicate the issue on the demo site:
Where exactly is your svn build?
I see 'events' and 'calendar' but not event_calendar ... http://svn.silverstripe.com/open/modules/ ?
Good morning.
Ok, grabbed the svn... same thing. Though I can't duplicate it on your demo site. I tried firefox/safari just to see if there was some weird javascript caching going on... but no...
Is there a way to get any debug info for what's posting (or should be posting) ?
Thanks.
Did a little more testing... interesting stuff -- still don't know how to make sense of it...
I started adding events from Jan 1, 2010 and kept going... You'll see that for no reason ( that I can tell) the posts were going fine, date-wise, until I hit January 13, 2010 ... then the dates started to 'not stick' -- of course all the dates I've been trying to add have been around the 17th of the month...
I'm going to go test another month (april) with the same process, and will report back..
