Asset module and creating new folders

Hi,
by using the asset-module I wanted to create sub-folders for the images. Everytime I created a subfolder, the name I entered was not used. The folder was created with the name "new_folder" an I had to rename it.
Does anybody know a short fix for this problem?Best regards,
