Google Analytics gone?

23 April 2010 at 12:05am Last edited: 23 April 2010 12:05am
How come both Google analytics modules have disappeared? The trunk for one of them is still available to download but does not work.
Is there likely to soon be a replacement? I have recently upgraded a clients site to 2.3.7 and they are now wondering why they can't get analytics.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I've never used the modules, so I'm of no help to your quesetions.
But when I put Google Analytics into a Silverstripe site, I just put the Google Analytics code into the bottom of Page.ss. I find the Google Analytics account isn't going to change for the life of the site, so there is no need for the module.
But that's me.

The module is still available here:
http://silverstripe.org/google-analytics-module/There have been recent updates to trunk, so it should now work with SilverStripe v2.4.
For 2.3.7 you should try the 0.2 branch.
http://svn/open/modules/googleanalytics/branches/0.2/Please file a bug if you find continuing problems:

Hi There,
I have that module a go and it installs fine but there seems to be something awry with the javascript in the CMS. I keep getting "Can't find variable: setupGoogleAnalytics" when I try to click on 'setup google analytics'. I'm not sure how to look into it but if someone can point me in the right direction i'll give it a shot.
