Multiform : Another way of getting a dynamic next step ?

It's all in the title
!
I'm stuck on every step that has a conditionnal next step. the getNextStep() function given in the documentation does not redirect to the wanted step. I just shows the same step again and again...
Is there a way to do this differently ? I'm not a developper so I won't be able to rewrite functions by myself !
