Sell Tickets for Events

I need to sell tickets for upcoming events from my website directly. Does anyone have any thoughts on the best way to go about doing this? I like the event calendar module but obviously you can't register people or sell tickets with it. Just trying to see what my options are. Thanks for any advice anyone has to offer.

There are a number of ways to do it. Are you using a thirdparty service to manage the tickets? Do you want to process credit cards on the site?
EventCalendar doesn't offer a whiz-bang solution for this because virtually everyone has different needs, so it would be difficult to contain in a module. But that said, it's highly extensible, and we have a number of sites running that offer registration. Just takes some programming.
