different admin pages using subsites

I have installed silverstripe 2.4.4 and latest trunk version of subsite module. This is the first time trying out subsite module.
I am not sure how to administer the admin page for different subsites because my admin pages doesn't change when I change the subsite from the drop down.
Another issue which I am stuck at is how do I see the output of the different subdomain in my local machine where I am creating the site.
Any help is appreciated.
