I can add a single event into Google Calendar and Event Calendar (SS version 2.4.5 - ?? EC version . . . Calendar.php 1/9/2011) will show it just fine . . . but if I go in and put a recurring event nothing shows.

Yeah, that's not wired up. The ICS feed functionality is pretty limited.
Looking into this as an alternative module then . . . . I can include my info via a iframe, but I was really hoping that Silverstripe would have a module robust enough to show info correctly.
