Hey guys,

can any1 write down the step-by-step guide on how to install the sphinx module and use it on my web site?
I am running the following:
Debian 2.6.32-31
Apache 2.2.16
MySQL 5.1.49-3
SilverStripe 2.4

I have been reading documentation and it seems fairly complicated to me atm...
Where do I get Sphinx binaries?
How to decorate Site-Tree and File? via decorator or some other way?

All i need is to be able to search through 1 dataobject (LOTD) I made, and all this seems like a hell-of-a-lot of trouble to be able to do that...
I was reading the following post:
http://silverstripe.org/all-other-modules/show/6641
and search worked that way (what aram did), but it messed up my edit and delete links (last post there, I posted what i thought necessary), but some other stuff crashed. Either help me there on how to get Sphinx working.
Thank you all!

EDIT:
Also been trying this approach:
http://www.i-lateral.com/tutorials/extending-fulltextsearch-for-dataobjects/
but it doesn't work for me... Any1 made this work?

The module includes pretty comprehensive documentation - https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-sphinx/blob/master/docs/sphinx.md

You can download the binaries from the sphinx site - http://sphinxsearch.com/downloads/
