Using jCrop with Uploadify module

Hi,
I've been eying up the jCrop pluggin recently deepliquid.com/content/Jcrop.html and wanted to integrate this with Uploadify. Has anyone ever successfully attempted this? I found one example of how this is done for the javascript but I'm a little confused on how this works on the backend in the DOM, any suggestions?
