Sub site?? adding a domain to a live site

I have an already live silverstripe site (2.4.x) and want to add a Blog.. thing is I want the blog to use a new domain (not subdomain).
Can I do this?
Do I need the Subsite module?
What server settings need to be changes (domain settings?)I just don't want to manage multiple installs if I can avoid it.
Any help greatly appreciated
