Weird problem trying to install module (Disqus)

So I'm running SS 2.4.5 and I want to use the discuss module:

I follow the installation instructions exactly as seen here:

And the problem is it blows up my whole site immediately. Simply having the 'disqus' directory in my SS installation gives me white screen with something about not being able to access the cms. I don't even get to run dev/build, I get the white screen there too. If I delete the directory the site is back up and running.

It's making me crazy, I've installed tons of modules and never seen this what could be going on?

Hi Pix, error reporting is on? Are you in DEV mode? Did you solve it, if yes, how, what was the problem?
