subsites simulate frontend

Hi
I run a development/staging/produciton enviroment
I want to have a single development and staging, with the posibility to simulate the frontend for any of the subsites.just doesn't work, regardless of the box

Did you find answer? I'm just doing some search now.
nm just did some basic test, you have to get a home for the other subsite as well so ?SubsiteID=2 does work
