oh my god, I feel so stupid now i was not putting the function in the controller tag. thanks for all your help, I got there in the end. also one more question, now i have got my articles date descending, is there a way to limit them per page but be able to access them all, like having page 1, page 2, page 3, etc links bottom of the page like you see on alot of sites Eg: http://www.n4g.com/
