I'm trying to change the first page that comes out when log-in to the admin area. So instead of having the page editor, I want to make a custom page. Any directions of where should I be looking for this?

I'm not sure how you would set it by default but if it helps you can go to specific pages by going to yoursite.com/admin/show/X where X is the ID of a page.
