I've extended the ImageGallery module to work with SlideshowPro. Still a little buggy, but I'll have something testable soon.

Looks very nice! When can we try it out? With the versions before I was really struggling with.

This looks great. Wanted to use this on a site and was going to go down the road of director. Will be great to only have one backend for the whole site now.

Thanks again for all of your modules.

Cheers

Looks great. The file manager module has really nice usability for maintaining renaming/reordering/removing/adding files. I was working on a module that would intergate into director rather than the SSP flash file. So the user maintains everything from with in director then creates a new SSP page from silver stipe where the availible albums gallerys would be displayed. I'm not too sure which way would be more efficent for user friendlness? It's pretty hard to compete with director's multiple image uploads.

The ImageGallery supports bulk uploading.

I love Director. I think it's a real triumph of web application development. But I can always sense a little bit of dismay in a client's voice when he finds out he has two different places to manage his site. Photos in one, and content in the other. The idea was to bring a lot of the Director functionality (including batch uploads) to SS for a more coherent content management.

This is now ready for testing. The SVN is:

svn co http://carlinowebdesign.svn.beanstalkapp.com/modules/trunk/slideshow_pro

Tested this tonight but the XML only has the caption value of the <img /> tag populated. tn and src do not have any values.

Thanks

@ ntessore -- I like the idea. My only objection to it is that you've now created static files to feed your gallery, when the intent of CMS is to make them dynamic. That's why I chose to have them as a dynamic URL, like an RSS feed almost.

@ David -- That's totally weird. You got a link? Have you tried refreshing? Maybe the URLs failed because the images weren't generated properly?
