@ ntessore -- I like the idea. My only objection to it is that you've now created static files to feed your gallery, when the intent of CMS is to make them dynamic. That's why I chose to have them as a dynamic URL, like an RSS feed almost.
@ David -- That's totally weird. You got a link? Have you tried refreshing? Maybe the URLs failed because the images weren't generated properly?

The xml link is http://supportact.com.au/ss/debonairs-nsw-gallery/xml
The page displaying the swf is http://supportact.com.au/ss/debonairs-nsw-gallery/
As you can see the thumbnail for the album is fine just the images inside. If it is of any use this page was already created as an ImageGalleryPage page type that I just changed to the SlideshowProPage page type.

Oh, just the parameters are non-static, with the option to override them. I had a Param-class encoding all the possible settings into DBFields, but I found that to be too much overhead, hard to manage and with little reusability.

I'm having a really hard time duplicating this error. Does it happen when you create a new SlideshowPro Page? Or just when you upgrade from an ImageGallery?

I Created a new SlideshowProPage at http://supportact.com.au/ss/new-slideshowpropage/ but the xml still does not have the tn and src values for the img tag. For some reason $Thumbnail.URL and $Large.URL does not return a value in the GalleryItems control.
Not that I have a real clue, but when looking at the template for an ImageGalleryPage I can see that $ThumbnailURL and $ViewLink were used. I even tried these in the xml template but that didn't make a difference.

Could you give me a temporary login to your admin?

oh, I think I know the problem.. Make sure you update your image_gallery module. I added the $Thumbnail and $Large functions when the slideshow_pro module was released.
