really basic question regarding userforms

15 May 2009 at 4:34pm
Hi everyone,
I've made a new installation of SS 2.3.2. Downloaded userforms and saved it into ~/mysite subdirectory. Renamed the folder to "userforms" (removing the version numbers etc). Ran http://<mysite>/dev/build which showed a results page.
When I view the CMS editor I don't see forms listed.
Tried repeating the above process but placing "userforms" in the root level of the silverstrip install rather than the mysite subdirectory. No difference.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. Should modules be installed in the mysite subdirectory. Wouldn't it be more straightforward to have a "modules" directory so that it is completely obvious where these are supposed to go?
Thanks in advance...
~ Rodney

Have you created a new User Defined Form Page? It should be an option in the create page dropdown

thanks for this answer Will! I was reading and reading and found that I was not the first one that did not know that the function will be in the drop down menu. It would be great if that was written in the documentation for noobs. Btw, I tried emailing the will@ in the readme file but I received a bounce - I thought I'd let you know (if that's you) - The sean (at) email went through though.
