Gallery 0.2.3 lightbox issue

Hi my problem is that the image displays in a new tab instead of using the lightbox. I have followed the install instructions and everything else related to the gallery works fine.
i tried the solution listed here with no luck http://www.silverstripe.org/archive/show/187021#post187021
any help would be appreciated, Thanks

I get exactly the same issue. Did you get this resolved, by any chance?

Hmm...doesn't appear to be a javascript conflict. The lightbox.js file isn't even being called into the page! Might have to dig into the code on this one...
