Thanks for your reply. I emailed fonsekaean [at] thebigG as per your profile but haven't heard back for a few days. Honestly all good if you don't have the time to get in touch but I just wanted to make sure I had the right email address?

There is an error, when you submit something in the form:
SilverStripe 2.4
[User Error] Uncaught InvalidArgumentException: ViewableData->customise(): $data must be an associative array or a ViewableData instance

i didnt get you, did you take a look at the module?
For others who dont know about the mailchimp code. I have set up a new test site, before I release the codes I'd love to hear from you all.

Wow, great job Nivanka! This looks really cool
We've just finished a website for a client which also uses MailChimp, but we just included the MCAPI class on the front-end to enable visitors to subscribe to the newsletters. The client has to log onto the MailChimp website to actually manage lists and campaigns. But integrating this into the Silverstripe CMS is more efficient - so I've bookmarked the Google Code page and I'm pretty sure we'll be investigating this some more next time a SS project comes around!
