Subsite Cloning Main Site

I'm trying to set up the Subsites module to display a mobile version of my website. Is there any way to setup a subsite that is a direct clone of the main site without having to rebuild or add new pages when I update the main site? Is this even possible? Or is there another way to force sub-domains to render with other templates?
