SWF UPLOAD 'required' => 'false' not working

Hi,
Need to asked if anyone has this experience, when i create swfupload field in frontpage form, if i set the required parameter to false, the form is not working at all, when i click submit button, nothing happened.
Can somebody tell me what's wrong with this?

Are you using the SVN checkout? Just run an update.
