Hello. I'm a SS Noob and can't figure something super simple out.

I went through the 4 step tutorial and am ready to start messing around with my own template/theme but I can't quite figure out how to tell SS that I don't want to use the tutorial template. I know this has got to be addressed already but I'm missing it. And I'm sure it's going to be one of those "Doh!" moments but I could use the help.

Thanks,
Brad

Well, I guess you'll have to change something in the _config.php file of the mysite folder.

But I've never used the tutorial template so I could be wrong!

in the mysite/_config.php file there should be a line - SSViewer::set_theme() now you can set that to SSViewer::set_theme('mysupercooltheme') then in the themes folder you make a folder mysupercooltheme with all the files. See the blackcandy theme for the correct folder/file structure.

Thanks. I looked for the mysite/_config.php and there wasnt' one. What did rather than reinstall using the windows installer was copied all the files from the turtorial into mysite and edited it from there. So far it seems to have worked but I'm sure the better way to install without the tutorial stuff to begin with. I'm still trying to figure it all out really so it's working for that. I don't quite understand the override systema nd the relationship between /mysite & the /themes directories.
