Hey there,

I was looking at the two themes available, and the one called black Candy looks bad in IE6! There are margin issues with the side menu and others...I looked at the "themes" folder and the css and there is an IE6 css doc with some hacks, but they aren't right...just look here in IE6:

and here:

eek! I don't have IE7 but why isn't the css correct right out of the box on this theme?

Ive just had a look and its fine on our IE6 version here at work. Maybe you have caching issues. a screenshot would be helpful as then I might be able to detect the issue!

I've done a few screen grabs to illustrate a few oddities in IE6.

I've compared a menu I just changed from the "blackcandy" theme. One in Firefox and the other in IE6. I've also grabbed a few shots of the demo here on Silverstripe showing the issues in IE6 and there is a weird thing happening with the lightbox popups in IE6 on the "Gallery" demo page.. ( image attached ). I think This CMS has HUGE potential, and I'd love to utilize it, but with IE still being the dominant browser, these issues would need to be resolved. Oh yeah, the "Member Map" demo page is left aligned in IE6 as well! I guess all you guys are using FF exclusively!

Great work guys! In Firefox, everything ROCKS!

ok I have looked into the menu bugs and it should be fixed for the 2.2 version of black candy.

Thanks Willr! I think you guys have a winner here! I'm looking forward to the next update. If I continue to build this website with the current version, is it fairly simple to update when it becomes available? Thanks.

yes sir it *should be fool proof updating hopefully. Well its one of our goals anyway! normally tho you will have to only recopy cms/sapphire/jsparty. But for this version to make sure you get the new blackcandy fixs make sure to copy themes/blackcandy as well.
