What is OpenID?
OpenID is an Internet-wide identity system that allows you to sign in to many websites with a single account.
With OpenID, your ID becomes a URL (e.g. http://username.myopenid.com/). You can get a free OpenID for example from myopenid.com.

I would like to facilitate the emailing of pages or a link to the page for site viewers. How can this be done in SilverStripe? I've not seen anything along those lines discussed in the forums and this would certainly be something quite useful and in my case, necessary.

Can't you just copy and paste the URL of the page then email / IM that ? Heh If you want a button - "Email This Page" check out the ShareThis Module - http://doc.silverstripe.com/doku.php?id=modules:sharethis which enables you to add icons (print, email, social networks etc) to a page

LOL, if only all web users were as savvy as you and I willr...
I would definitely not worry about this feature if it weren't specifically desired by the client. 
But thanks, that module is definitely useful. Obviously I didn't see that.
