    I don't Have a .htaccess file.. Link to this post

    I noticed that after I uploaded the files to my server that there is no .htaccess file. I tried to install any way and when I goto the install.php I get this error "Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in.......". Can someone please give me a little advice on what I should do.

    Looks like you are running PHP4?

    We make extensive use of the object oriented model that PHP5 offers, which makes for much better coding style/practice/efficiency.

    I am using a 1and1.com hosting plan. What can I do to solve this? Do I have to use a different hosting provider.
