Hi all- I installed this locally with xampp and had all kinds of errors, so I decided to just upload the files to my webserver and do it that way. Well this is the error I got when I first went to the I site:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /public_html/apc/install.php on line 536
and that's it? I am way more of a designer than a developer, which is what attracted me to this CMS, so with that said, I don't know how to fix the problem. Can anybody help?

Anyone help me out? My client is chomping at the bit and I really want to us this CMS as it is exactly what I have been looking for - for a really long time. A designer friendly CMS - my dream come true.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this for me.

Hi bigimaginations - this is happening because you've got PHP4 instead of PHP5 installed.
Upgrade to PHP5 and things should be fine.
