DB and page flush error with V2.2

Since upgrading I have not been able to run /db/build?flush=1
When I try it, it shows a 100px x 100px PNG image that says IMAGE ERROR.
That's it, there's nothing else.Also when I try to flush individual pages I get this error.

Line Number 1, Column 1:�PNGAnyone else getting this? Anyone know where I can look to fix it?

Open the site in Explorer instead of FireFox and look at the source. What is that binary data doing there ? ;-)
