I edited the footer.ss file but my changes are not showing up does it cache the template in the database? How can I update an existing template so I can see those updates in my site? Anyone know the secret to the templates that won't change?

This is the file I edited:
themes/blackcandy/templates/includes/Footer.ss

Hi,
did you flush the cache? Like: http://localhost:3000/home/?flush=1

You can read more in the first tutorial.

and make sure you actually saved the file :P Ive been hitting my head like why do I still get that error.. then realized that the file didnt actually save haha.

If you are on windows another method is to hit ctrl + f5 to force firefox to refresh the cache.

Be careful that when editing include templates you need to run ?flush=1 when on the page using the template. SilverStripe caches them more readily than normal templates.

Cheers,
