Windows Live Writer

Hi Guys,
Are there any plans about incorporating windows live writer into the system for the blog or for the site so you can edit offline?

hi there!
basically what you're asking is wether we will provide a webservice-API to edit blog-posts (e.g. http://code.blogger.com/archives/atom-docs.html), for which windows livewriter could be one client. currently there are no plans for such an interface, but as its a pretty modular part that doesn't require a lot of in-depth knowledge, its a perfect candidate to be solved by the community - anybody?

I'm not sure if this will be of any use to anyone, but anyway... attached is a client and site plugins for Joomla 1.5.
AFAIK Siteman was built by Johan Janssens (J! lead dev)over at Joomlatools.com but discontinued. I'm not sure if it still works even with it's intended CMS (Joomla 1.5), but maybe someone here will pick up something useful in it.
I believe It was released under the GNU GPL license, but if someone finds it useful and wants to convert it for use with SS, you might want to double check that with Johann.
I would love if someone could get something like this going, be it Siteman, Live Writer, or any other client. Anything that makes managing SS a breeze for my less technical clients gets my vote.

This PHP implementation of the Atom API could be useful.

One of SilverStripe's goals for 2008 is to make it interoperate with the rest of the web more seamlessly, and support for the Atom API would be a good step towards this.
