Working on a Lingerie website for someone. Low budget so based it on the blackcandy theme

The cart is behaving quite strangely. On my development machine - I have deleted the example products & groups. So there is no chance of adding products from here.

On my windows testing machine - although I have deleted the product group and products in SS... they are still showing up in the menu etc! Huh???? When trying to add the "example product" to the cart it does nothing... maybe this is because in the back end it does not exist... but how do I get the example pages to bugger off!?
