Hi all!
I'm about to upload a theme on this website, but i got this error:

"Your theme could not be submitted:
There is a file $name in the root directory. Your theme should be in a folder."

Can someone help me with this? I zipped the theme folder with the 7zip program using .tar compression. Any idea on what Im doing wrong here?

Hi there,

Because themes are only a handful of files I upload them via FTP.

Just make sure you place the theme inside the 'themes' folder ( inside it's own named folder ).
The blackcandy should be there by default as a guide.

DaveP:
You misunderstood me... I was talking about uploading themes to this site :)

Joel:
Thank you for replying, but my problem is still there after compressing the .tar to a tar.gz... Same error message. I really hope someone can crack this problem. Its a shame that the theme uploading service is to hard for us mortal to figure out ;p

thanks in advance

the way I was uploading the themes was just to pack it into a .tar package and then to a .gz (.gz is to decrease the filesize, it works without it ). remember, that your theme folder should contain only the css, images and templates folders! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PUT ANY OTHER FILES AND FOLDERS THERE

Thanks for replying wojtek! But sadly I got this new error:

Your theme could not be submitted:
There appears to be more than one theme in this archive - css and images.

What am I doing wrong here?
