Point main menu item to sub-menu item (solved)

16 July 2010 at 1:19pm Last edited: 18 July 2010 12:46pm
Just wondering if there's a way to point a Menu(1) item to a Menu(2) item?
I tried the virtual page type, but it won't actually point to a sub page, and it takes on the sub-title.
I tried to leave it as a basic page type and change the url, but because it's a sub-page I cant use slashes in the url, they get changed to dashes.
Any idea?

Have you tried creating a redirector page?

Thanks TotalNet.
My preference would be to keep it to the cms, but if that's the only way, I can live with that.
Thanks!

No Problem but I'm not sure what you mean.
A redirector page is a standard page type you can use in the cms just like a virtual page. That way you can add a menu "link" to a sub-page wherever you like. I think that's what you're trying to do.

Doh!
I took your first answer to mean a 301 redirect in the template. But now I see the redirect page in the cms. I guess I totally missed that before.
Thanks a ton!Chris.b
