eCommerce Installation - Module not loading, Fatal Errors after modifying config.php

I'm trying to install the eCommerce module after successfully installing a few others, and encountering a problem. It seems like the module itself isn't loading...no new fields are showing up on the db-flush after I upload the folder.
Due to this, items like "Payment," when placed in the _config file as specified in the instructions, cause a site-wide crash. Any ideas on what's getting mixed up here?

i had the same problem few days ago.. i was asking for help in this forum also..
anyway, check if the webserver has write permission on your ecommerce folder, it might be a problem..
