Using the Danish language on my new silverstripe testsite I have a problem with Danish letters like æ, ø and å being replaced by "-" in the URL.

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to change this so that the different Danish letters will be replaced by other letters defined by me. And if this is possible how do I do it?

Thanks,

Peter

I have the same issue (but on a swedish site). I have fixed it temporarily by handling the URL's manually (meta-data / URL) when the URL's contain swedish-specific characters. That's not a very userfriendly way of handling it, so I'm very interested in a solution to this!

Anything new about this issue? It's a pretty big concern for us Swedes and Danes (and everyone else with strange letters in their alphabet...)

Should i file this in the trac?

I'd love a solution as well as the site I'm currently developing has an Ã… in the name, which I would also love to use in the page title, current solution is a picture with the name but that won't show up on google ;)
