Stuck! CSS shows for IE6 but not firefox - assume problem with theme

Its a new install and for the life of me I'm not sure what has changed overnight since it worked.
For some reason now, when i got to my pages, they get the content fine, but the stylesheets arent working.
They work in IE6/IE7 however, but not firefox. Is this cause the default blackcandy stylesheet for some reason isnt being found? How is this happening as the urls are fine.
