Search Filter in the CMS

Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me how to add "Search Filter"(like in the security) at the CMS for my Custom Content Tab which has around 1000 registered members displayed in a table and I want a way to add a Search Filter in order to get a member.Thanks in advance!
