Upgrade not possible without loosing content

Hello,
today I started my second try to upgrade from version 2.2.1 to 2.2.3. But it seems to be not so easy. (perhaps not possible)
After upgrade I could't save modified content in the backend. I always get the red button error saving content. Also some blocks in the frontend were shown als html -> <h1> and so one. There is no version history any more available.I followed the upgrade instructions - but it doesen't work.
I don't no what to do - me next steps could be - to install a fresh Silverstripe-Instance and try to copy all the content by hand.Has somebody else the same problems with upgrading Silverstripe?
Thanks for your comments
