Adding special characters without using codes

11 November 2008 at 7:55am
Hi
I am building a site which will require content changes to text including special characters such as acutes and umlauts etc.
I have no problem adding these using the appropriate codes but I was wondering if there is a way to provide a more user-friendly interface for the content manager who may struggle with these codes?
Thanks
MM

The HTML Editor (TinyMCE) has an 'insert symbol' button which opens a symbol navigator with all the usual accented characters etc .... is this not suitable?
