No, I'm not using an older version. My PHP version is 5.1.2.
I put my user and password but the window just only refresh the login page without error messages.
I don't know if the problem is in the cms or in the php.ini file or what.
Any solution?
Please, help me!!
have you tired rebuilding the database - http://localhost/whateverSiteName/db/build/?flush=1
Heres a list of common problem fixes - http://doc.silverstripe.com/doku.php?id=common-problems
I've found the problem.
My firewall (zonealarm) don't let me go into the cms. The solution is put Cookie Control and Ad Blocking off.
Thanks a lot for your collaboration and this great cms.
Okay I have just spent two hours typing my damn user id and password to no avail. I am running WAMP server on a local windows machine. I triied all of the flush remedies, the new re-build files and shut off zone alarm completely....
It takes me to the default homepage to login:email/password.
So, I know the install is fine. My password is the same and I checked the files and there it was clear as day. Now what? I run wordpress and joomla just fine on WAMP located along with Silverstripe in my root folder. So if someone does not help me I'll just have to go back to the other guys.......WP & Joomla. too bad I wanted to check this out. Maybe you should do something so it;s not such a pain to run...........IMHO
Peace,
Ken
weird... I use WAMP as my main development server with silverstripe and never had any problems. If in doubt just delete the current install, download the last daily build and reinstall SS.
Try that and see how you go
Have you attempted installing SilverStripe before this point you're having issues? Perhaps it's leaving behind some stuff in the database. Try dropping the whole SS_mysite database using phpMyAdmin (or the database you called it during installation), then reinstall SS 2.0.1.
This is what happened with me. I couldn't login, until I realised my MAMP had the old database from a previous install kicking around - which required dumping before I could actually login properly.
But you're right, these things shouldn't really happen. We're trying our best to root out all the install problems, but it's inevitable that we can't cover all different types of server setups and configuration types.
Thanks also for trying SilverStripe,
Cheers,
Sean
