Newsletter Templates

I'm feeling my way through this since some of the interfaces are different from the docs. They're pretty good though.

I've just created a basic template and put it in mysite/templates/email
when I view my newsletter type I can choose my new template from the dropdown list.
.
However when I go to send it fails and this is the error message I see via Firebug
.
ERROR:Error 512: None of these templates can be found: Skbasic.ss
At l74 in /home/sitename/domains/sitemame.co.nz/public_html/sapphire/core/SSViewer.php
Catchable fatal error: Method Newsletter_Email::__toString() must return a string value in /home/sitename/domains/sitename.co.nz/public_html/sapphire/core/Debug.php on line 311

Is this telling me there's a fault in my template or a bug in SS?
I'm using 2.2.2rc4 -

Upgraded to 2.2.2 stable and the problem is gone... onto the next one ;)
