Hosting?

As much as I love the flexibility of Dreamhost, I've determined that Silverstripe just runs slow on their servers for one reason or another. Anyone else have this problem?
I'm looking for some recommendations for hosting providers that are comparable to Dreamhost (multiple domains, SSH access, SVN) and also run Silverstripe well. I'm in the United States.
Any suggestions?

speed is a bit of an issue with dreamhost - Andy posted some speed fixs for it at http://www.silverstripe.com/site-builders-forum/flat/21034?showPost=53803#post53803

Actually, hosting compatability seems to come up alot. Is there any list in the doc to the effect of "Our users are running Silverstripe on...."?
I'm about to launch my first SS site to Webdrive NZ, I have tested it, but not enough to cover all bases - especially performance issues.
