HTML editor not displaying

16 July 2008 at 8:48pm
Hi,
I have built a site in SilverStripe which was working fine. We have just uploaded it to a hosted server and all seems fine except nothing comes up in the html text fields which makes it freeze. Editing is not possible in this state.
I beleive I may have lost some files as we were having trouble with our version control software.
What are the files that make the HTML editor work? Am I able to copy the HTML editor files from a new install to an existing setup? Would that be the best way to do it?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there, what version of SilverStripe were you using?
It could be easy to just get the version you installed, and unpack the sapphire, cms and jsparty directories directly onto your hosted server.
However, version control is definitely a lot easier to manage this stuff, and less prone to error!

In that case, you can simply download 2.2.1 here:
http://www.silverstripe.com/assets/downloads/PHPInstaller/silverstripe-v2.2.1.tar.gz
Then you can take the sapphire, cms and jsparty directories and copy them to where the existing ones were. I would also probably delete the directories first instead of overwriting them.
Cheers,

Great. Thanks Sean.
I started with the JSParty folder and that did the job straight away.
Thanks again for your help. You have saved me a lot of messing around.
