Missing Content Text box

First time using Silverstripe.
Have installed but have a problem whereby from the admin side can't see the content textbox.
Any ideas before I try a clean reinstall?
All I have done is install a theme pixelgreen and alter some of the Include files - footer and sidebar. But returning to default theme doesn't fix behaviour?

This the main content area on the site? So when you load the page in the CMS all you see is a Page Title field and a Navigation Label field?

strange.. have you got any custom code on the page?
If you go view source is the textarea in the source? eg its not just 1px high or a display: none or anything like that.
Is it like that on the other page types? You say you tried pixel green theme - if you default back to blackcandy does it then work?

I had tried changing themes. Have now resulted to a clean install. Still in early stages anyway.
