Hi,

I'm having some problems installing SilverStripe on 000webhost.com (a free php + mySQL webhost using Apache with mod_rewrite enabled).

Here are my errors:

Server software I can't tell what webserver you are running. Without Apache I can't tell if mod_rewrite is enabled.

mod_rewrite enabled I can't tell whether mod_rewrite is running. You may need to configure a rewriting rule yourself.

Similarly, SilverStripe is unsure if certain folders are writable, despite me setting full access permissions to these folders and .htaccess file.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi,

that's not necessarily a problem. Did you try to install it? I had the same messages in the pre-install check recently but the installation worked and Silverstripe runs the way it should.

Just try to install it anyway - it's just a warning, not an error. See if the Silverstripe default site comes up after the installation. Then try to log on to the CMS and upload a picture to test the permissions of the "assets" folder.

Good luck.
