ecommerce cart change to 'wishlist'

Hi,
I would like to change the shopping cart to a 'wishlist' so that customers add products to it but they can't purchase.
How can I add products to the cart (wishlist) without having a price?I'll have to remove the 'checkout' link form the shopping cart and ideally, I would like to have a print page or email product wishlist function...
Just wondering if anyone else has done this and if they have any advice...? Thanks a lot.

Just to add (not to hijack, but close enough not to warrent new thread), I'm also looking for something similar to what adriana is asking. More specifically a priced wishlist that would be sent to a specified email address, where the client could follow up from. (They don't want to use a full e-commerce site).
