LoginForm and SiteTree issue

I am currently developing a website on 2.2.2, with a sitetree
When I try to reach the loginform, my browser crashes everytime (actually a script runs and I have to forcequit the browser).
if I disable site tree I can login no problem
FF3 says Error too much recursion on tree.js line 182. But only when I try to reach Security/Login. It doesn't on the site itself.
a workaround would be to disable sitetree for the login page (does it have a pagetype or something like that.
any other ideas ?
