Strange Issues with installation

I got the silverstripe 2.2.2 and tried to install on a server which I got from RackSpace.
But it is not installing properly. First It stuck, and didnt respond, and I did some changes to the httpd.conf as to give permission for the .htaccess to work on. But now it says that there are some misconfiguration on the .htaccess.
I just searched on the forums, and the IRC ad found that many people have experienced the same situation.
Is there any suggestions about this?

As I thought this is some issue with the .htaccess.
I managed to solve it by myself.
I used ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy)
I will post my 000-default file in the /etc/apache2/websites-enabled here then you all can compare it with yours and solve the problem
(Sorry now I am on windows. will do it soon ;) )
