Converting my existing html-website to php with Silverstripe..please some help?

6 September 2008 at 7:02am
Hello,
I'm new to this php-thing, but i have an up and running html-based website. But I want to convert it (exactly as it is, the layout and content i mean) to php, using silverstripe. I want to use php from no on because it would be easy to edit and a php-website always fills out the screen nicely, whatever screenresolution you use.
I've watched the tutorials, but i can't seem to get it clear if and how I can simply convert all my existing html-pages to php, using silverstripe.
I really hope someone can help me out here..
many thanx in advance.. -

What you need to do is develop your html site into a theme. You can find information about themes here:
http://doc.silverstripe.com/doku.php?id=themes:developing
If your site is well built using xhtml standards, I might develop the theme for you(If you give me a link to it.)

I'd suggest using a premade theme. Using a pre-made theme will make the layout and flow of the site better. If you want to have a "dark" style, try:

or browse the other themes at

You could write a .htaccess script to do that for you, otherwise they will be:
www.cumcrew/recordings/
